Zola Williams Salako has over 15 years of legal experience representing a diverse array of clients such as entrepreneurs, startups, artists, video game developers and publishers, restaurants, banks, individuals and companies needing assistance with immigration matters (H1-Bs, citizenship & naturalization applications, petitions for family members, adjustment of status, etc.), and individuals needing wills.
Prior to opening Williams Salako Law, she was the general counsel of a Houston based media company (where she still provides general counsel services), and prior to that she was in house legal counsel for a restaurant holding company. She has extensive experience establishing best practices related to contracts, intellectual property, human resources, employee relations, marketing, contests and sweepstakes, and content regulation for her business clients.
Zola also practiced immigration law at a Texas and Florida based immigration firm. She also worked as a commercial litigation associate for an international AmLaw 100 law firm, and a regional Texas based firm.
Zola Williams Salako received her law degree from Vanderbilt University Law School and her undergraduate degree from Harvard University. She is licensed to practice law in Texas.
